James and the Giant Peach.
Tomorrow auditions are being held for the play "James and the Giant Peach". Oh, boy . . .. I will audition for the glowworm part I think. I most likely will not get it, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try. One of my freshmen friends, Levi, wants to be the Centipede. Jasmine and I told him not to get his hopes up for the mere fact that he is a freshmen and most likely will not get the part. Plus the factor that he is not in a theater class. Levi ranted on and on about how it is unfair that people will get the part just because they are in the class, not really that they have the talent for it. Not to say that everyone in theater class does not have talent but as to say people not in the class may have it as well. Mrs. Lewis says they are open auditions but really it is all a load of bull. Open auditions only for the people in theater class would fit better. It isn't fair but then again nothing really is. Another note, you do not get to audition for the part you want. Everyone must read the same exact part. How are you suposed to show that you would be the best Earthworm when you are forced to audition with the Spider's lines. They are two far different characters so how can you judge who would be best for what?
